Smithton District Hospital and Community Health Service

Smithton District Hospital is a teaching site for a range of health disciplines. It was redeveloped in 2008 to reflect the changing health needs of the community and has 16 acute/sub-acute care beds.

Students have access to a broad range of learning opportunities as it offers an oncology and palliative care service, has an Accident and Emergency service and visiting services such as Medical Imaging, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Diabetic Clinic, Mental Health, Obstetric Services, and Continence Services. A range of community services are also provided from the hospital including Community Nursing and Home Help/Personal Care.

Modern, self-contained accommodation is available for up to 10 students on-site.
