Campbell Town Health and Community Service

Campbell Town Health and Community Service (CTHCS) is located at 70 High Street, Campbell Town. CTHCS is a Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) comprising 6 acute care beds, 20 residential aged care beds and a treatment/emergency room. Palliative and Respite care are also provided as In-Patient services. CTHCS also coordinates the delivery of a range of Community Services including Community Nursing, Home Help, Personal Care & In-Home Respite Care.

CTHCS provides rooms for a variety of visiting services including Podiatry, Primary Health Tasmania, Psychologists, Oral Health Service and Child Health Services. A Social Work and Mental Health Work Service are also provided through the MPS. An active day centre and many other community activities are also run by the CTHCS both within and outside the service. We also have Telehealth Network facilities  within the MPS that are available for use by various services.

Student accommodation is available at the Northern Midlands Rural Health Teaching Site located at 14 King Street, Campbell Town; approximately 500 meters (short walk) from the Campbell Town Health and Community Service and a similar distance to the Pharmacy. It provides comfortable self-contained accommodation in a spacious four-bedroom house for up to five students. Students also have access to a fully equipped computer laboratory with internet access located within the ‘nurses' home of the MPS.
